Independent School Open Houses

We've started hearing from independent schools that are having open houses and other events. Here is information for those who have written in. If you know of any others coming up, let us know in the comments.

Accepting applications for the 2015-2016 school year in San Francisco for three programs:
Lower elementary program (Transitional-Kindergarten/Kindergarten and K/1)
Upper elementary program (2nd/3rd grade and 4th/5th grade)
Middle school program (6th/7th/8th grade)
Children must be 4 years, 9 months by their first day at school. 

Zion Lutheran School
Zion Lutheran School will be hosting a Kindergarten Play Day, Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. This event is for families with children entering Kindergarten Fall 2015.

Zion Lutheran School is located at 495 9th Avenue (between Anza & Geary), San Francisco. Our Kindergarten teacher will lead a story time, crafts, songs, games and snacks. Parents will learn more about Zion’s curriculum, school community and participate in a Q&A session. Please RSVP by Thursday, December 4 to at 415-221-7500 ext. 205. We hope to see you there!

Synergy School’s open house is scheduled for December 6th, 2014 from 11:00 - 1:00 PM.
No reservations required. Meet our teachers, students, parents, board members including one of our co-founders.

December 6, 9 - 10 AM (adults only)

K-8 Open Houses at 735 Fell Street (online registration required at
December 6, 11 AM - 12:30 PM (whole family)
