A tip from Parents for Public Schools: Don't go to the EPC Friday, Dec. 11

The deadline to apply for Lowell High School is this Friday, December 11. For those of you turning in Kinder applications you should wait till next week. The lines are likely to be long at the Educational Placement Center. —Vicki Symonds, Parents for Public Schools

  1. Thanks, Vicki. That's useful advice and just saved me a trip downtown!

  2. If it's more convenient, you can turn in your application at a satellite collection site. This list is from the Enrollment Guide p. 18:

Satellite Collection Sites (4 pm - 7 pm): Turn in your enrollment application at the EPC at 555 Franklin St. Rm. 100 or at these school sites. New students applying for SFUSD should bring all required documents.

  3. I should know this - does anyone know if I can give my application to a school directly if we have sibling preference? Can I just do it at the school that my older child is already attending?

  4. does anyone know if the EPC is closed for hollidays?

I work so I can't get down there M-F 8:30-4, though I can make it the week between Xmas and new years.

i've tried getting them on the phone (does anyone EVERY answer it?)
i've listend to the messages, I now know all the important dates for LAST year (what sort of sign is it that they haven't bothered to update this?)

    Thanks.
