Spring is here! Let’s celebrate. We hope you can join us for a whale of a good time at our SPLISH SPLASH PEABODY BASH School Carnival on May 16, 2009 from 11-3 pm. We will have several carnival games, a silent auction and a raffle. George Peabody Elementary School is located at 251 6th Avenue in San Francisco. For more information go to

  1. Dont these people realize how much carnival games pollute the environment?

All that confetti and cotton candy that really never goes away.

  2. To May 1 (5:14pm):

Seriously, take a chill pill. It's a lot of work to put on a Carnival and the kids love it, plus it raises money for the school and is open to the local community as well. Our school (Feinstein) just had our first Carnival over the weekend and parents & volunteers donated a lot of time for the kids & the school. Our goal was to have as "green" as a carnival as possible. It was a great event despite the rain, and there were smiles all around.

Anyway, leave George Peabody alone and if you are anti-Carnival, don't ever attend one -- no one will miss you.

Good luck to George Peabody Elementary!! (I loved the school & thought the principal was fabulous when I toured there.)

  3. I think the poster at 5:14 was kidding.

I believe the comment was merely a reaction to all the comments that criticized Starr King for holding a recent car wash fundraising event.

  4. It's the carnies that scare me. I'm always worried that while shooting up they'll miss a cotter pin or 3.
