Last chance: January tours

Round I forms are due January 9. That means the week of January 5 is your last chance to see a school--though I imagine most people have finalized their lists by now. Jose Ortega is leading its final tour on Tuesday, January 6 at 9:30 a.m.: call 469-4726. Please feel free to advertise your schools' final tours in the comments.

  1. Anyone who is taking advantage of the last tour at Jose Ortega should also walk around the corner on Vernon St and enter the absolutely beautiful Brooks Park, which surrounds JOES. This relatively unknown, immense, hilltop park has some of the best breathtaking views in the City, and it is a real asset to JOES. You can see the lower areas of the park from the school yard, but you will truly appreciate it on foot. Bring your camera!

  4. To the parents at Miraloma...THANK YOU THANK THANK YOU for the self-guided tours! I could tell the tour took a long time to plan/coordinate/execute, and it was totally a gift -- I wish all schools offered this.

  6. Does anyone know if there are sites other than the EPC office on Franklin to submit the K application this week? If so, could you please post the list as a separate thread? I can't seem to find the info on the SFUSD website or the PPSSF website. Thanks!

  7. Starr King is holding its last tour this Thursday at 9:30.

To 9:12, unless your child is a younger sibling of an SFUSD student, I think you have to turn in the application at EPC or else at the last remaining enrollment event, this Wednesday, between 4-7pm at Malcolm X Academy, 350 Harbor Rd @Middle Point Rd.
