First-day-of-school slideshow

It's so exciting for me to see your daughter at Jose Ortega. I have had the honor of teaching at that school. It is an incredibly special place. Jolynn Washington is one of the best assets at SFUSD. Furthermore, I have never seen a staff (in a school, or otherwise) work so well together. Jose Ortega has the strongest sense of community that I have ever witnessed.
I hope your experience at Jose Ortega is as positive as mine.
These are beautiful pics. I wasn't even part of the enrollment process this year, but looking at the pics makes me a little teary. Also, I feel really sad for those that are still waiting for a school. Try to remember that you and your child will have your first day too, whether it be next week, October or next year. It will happen and you'll enjoy all this excitement too. Try not to feel too discouraged.
Darn -- I can't see the slideshow. What program is it running on? Am I the only one whose computer doesn't bring it up?

ReplyDeleteI find it interesting that the majority of these photos show kids in uniforms. I didn't realize it was SO prevalent in SF.
