New SF K Files feature: listing of school fund-raisers

Is your school putting on a fund-raiser? A carnival? A concert? A pancake breakfast? Alert San Francisco families by posting it on The SF K Files. Email your event details to, and I'll post it in the right column where you'll find a new feature titled School Fund-raisers. Thanks! Best, Kate

  1. OK, I'll go first!

San Francisco School of the Arts' annual musical is the kid-friendly "Beauty and the Beast," presented March 6-22 at SOTA, 555 Portola (at O'Shaughnessy).

Info is at -- right now you have to click "all" on the calendar and scroll to March to get to the performance dates, but we're getting it up on the homepage as soon as more tech-savvy volunteers get to it! Meanwhile, keep it in mind.

SOTA's musicals are always stunning, though they haven't been totally kid-friendly every year. So I'm happy that this one is.

SOTA is an SFUSD magnet high school that admits students based on audition or judging in one of nine arts disciplines.

  2. Thanks for sharing Caroline. I've posted your event on the site. I'll definitely be there with Alice. She loves musicals.

  3. ^^Thanks!!
